Captain Virat Kohli has scored the 26th century of his Test career. Kohli scored his 26th Test century in the 138th innings of his 81st Test match. Kohli has come second in the list of batsmen who have scored 26 centuries in the lowest innings in Test cricket. On behalf of India, Sachin Tendulkar achieved this position in 136 innings, while Sunil Gavaskar had scored 26 Test centuries in 144 innings.



This test match is the 50th Test match of Virat Kohli as captain. He is the second captain of India to do so. Prior to that, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has captained more than 50 Test matches for India.
