There are many places to visit in Bihar. As Bihar had rich history so most o the places are historic. Some places where i would recommend people to visit (or say must visit) are listed.

It is one of the natural virgin recesses in east India, situated in the north west corner of Bihar. The pristine forest and wilderness of VTR is an excellent example of Himalayan Terai landscape. The extensive forest area of Valmikinagar was previously owned by the Bettiah Raj and Ramanagar Raj until the early 1950s.
2. Mahabodhi Temple
The Mahabodhi Vihar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, marking the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Bodh Gaya is about 96 km from Patna, Bihar state, India. It’s best tourist place where a lot of foreigner come to visit every year.
3. Bihar Museum
The Bihar Museum is a modern state of the art museum being constructed in Patna. It was opened in August, 2015. 'The children's museum', the main entrance area, an orientation theater and many other unique attractions are there.
4. Barabar Caves
The Barabar Caves are the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India, mostly dating from the Maurya Empire, some with Ashokan inscriptions, located in the Makhdumpur region of Jehanabad district, Bihar, India, 24 km north of Gaya.
5. The Great Buddha Statue
Newly constructed for tourist attraction. Big Statue of Lord Buddha with his followers statue. Holy place to visit for peace.
6. Munger Fort
The Munger Fort, located at Munger district. It is built on a rocky hillock on the south bank of the Ganges River. The fort houses a number of religious and historic monuments such as the Tomb of Pir Shah Nufa (died 1497), Palace of Shah Suja, Tomb of Mulla Muhammad Said (died 1704 AD), the Kashtaharini Ghat on the Ganges River, Chandisthana (an ancient temple) and recently a school of yoga was built here.
7. Golghar
The Golghar or Gol Ghar, is a large granary located to the west of the Gandhi Maidan in Patna. It is pillar-less with a wall of thickness of 3.6 m at the base. One can climb at the top of the Golghar through the 145 steps of its spiral stairway around it. The top of the Golghar presents a wonderful panoramic view of the city and the Ganga.
8. Nalanda:
A seat of knowledge and learning in ancient India, this city housed one of the world's finest residential universities which itself was an architectural masterpiece. It has a rich cultural heritage which attracts tourists to this religious center to view the stupas, temples and monasteries here. Even though most of them are ruins now, they still enchant the tourists.
9. Vaishali.
It contains one of the best-preserved of the Pillars of Ashoka, topped by a single Asiatic lion. First republic of the world. It is important place in both Jain and Buddhist religions.
10. Sitamarhi
Sitamarhi is the birth place of Sita, wife of Lord Rama. A temple dedicated to Sita is nearby. A rock-cut sanctuary of the Mauryan period also exists.
11.Pawapuri
Pava is a holy site for Jains located in the Nalanda district in the Bihar state of Eastern India. It is located about thirty-eight kilometers from Rajgir and 101 kilometers from Patna, the capital of Bihar.
12. Rajgir:
Set in a green valley and surrounded by rocky hills, Rajgir is a spiritual town with various religious attractions as well as a natural serenity amongst the dense forests and mysterious caves and springs. Rajgir houses many religious destinations which are majorly dedicated to either Buddhism or Jainism.
13. Patna:
The capital city of Bihar, Patna is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world. Originally known as Pataliputra, it played a major role in Indian culture and even today has great historical and religious significance. It was the capital of the Magadha region under various dynasties including the great Mauryan empire and the Gupta kingdom.
